Syrian Embassy: Al-Sharaa to Head Syrian Delegation to the Russian-Arab Summit in Moscow

The Syrian Embassy in Moscow announced today, Wednesday, that Ahmed Al-Sharaa will lead his country’s delegation participating in the Russian-Arab Summit scheduled to be held in the Russian capital, Moscow, on October 15.
This will be the first summit of its kind between Russia and the Arab countries, with representatives from Middle Eastern and North African countries participating, in addition to some East African countries that are members of the Arab League.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Moscow had extended an official invitation to the Syrian government to attend the summit.
The Syrian Embassy statement said: “As announced yesterday during the joint press conference between Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Shibani in Damascus, Syria will participate in the upcoming Russian-Arab summit, and Ahmed Al-Sharaa will head the delegation.”
